totally ridiculous argument from their side - i guess they're just not willing to go the extra 10 steps to the finish line ...

I haven't seen this mentioned much but if the Global Agenda people are worried about a level playing field they should just let players on single monitors select a letterboxed 48:10 AR viewport with the accompanying large FoV setting. Sure it'll be a pretty small viewport (1920x400) but at least everyone could get what they want out of the game.

I think that not being allowed to use our hardware is frustrating. However, I think every dev team has the full right NOT to support a particular technology, like I have the right to be disappointed about it. I can totally understand not wanting to divert resources from things they deem more important, and that they could prefer to get to the triple monitor issue later, if ever. What ticks me off is the inane excuse we were given in this particular case.

Also, I die a little inside every time I see a triple head gaming setup in portrait mode.

It actually shouldn't take 'extra' resources to support ultra-widescreen.
The devs have to calculate out and set up the viewport anyway, so it's the same work they're already doing, it's just having the foresight to not arbitrarily limit the viewport to something you don't think people will surpass.

unfair advantage

Here's what I have to say to that: Prove it.

Advantage? Sure, no argument there. But an I7 cpu is an advantage over a Celeron. A Radeon HD 6970 is an advantage over a Radeon HD 4650. A 2560x1600 30" display is an advantage over a 1024x768 15" display.

Are any of those unfair though? Perhaps they are. Perhaps they aren't. If you are going to step up and make the claim that they are unfair though, you better damn well have some concrete data to back it up, otherwise it's just a bunch of BS.

foolish not to support multiple monitors. Hirez says they have higher priorities? I think their priorities are way mis-guided. Bought this game but not playing it after 30 mins because of the lack of Surround support.

Good news is I don't think anyone cares anymore, everyone I know who was playing Global Agenda has forgotten the game exists.
