Halo PC using Eyefinity
Halo PC using Eyefinity
I was wondering if anyone would like to tackle the problem with the stretched screen in Halo PC. It would be awesome if It could be added to dopefish's widescreen fixer. Or another solution would be awesome. Thanks in Advance

Okay, there's nothing i can find on a HUD fix, but you can use the Racer S's Tool to fix the FOV.
Thanks for posting, as A long time ago, I couldn't get Surround to work, there must of been a patch.

Re: Halo PC using Eyefinity
I keep on getting gathering exception data when I try to toggle it on using a eyefinity setup @ 5760 X 1080. Is it working for you in eyefinity or just regular widescreen monitor ?
Re: Halo PC using Eyefinity
It's easier to download Halo CE (Custom Edition) from Bungie, it has mod support which include things such as built-in FOV adjustment and HUD fixes.
Normally, Halo Custom Edition only includes the multiplayer component of Halo, but there are mods that add the campaign in as well.

Re: Halo PC using Eyefinity
I'm using a Triplehead2go and running the game at 5040x1050. To get it to work I had to First Reinstall Halo, Patch it. Then the Hard part, getting my higher resolutions to show up. I had to setup my Triplehead2go again, change the settings and all, ans the two restarts later they showed up. Every time I reinstall driver for either of my cards I have to do this to get resolutions to show up.
EDIT: Just Downloaded Halo CE, and Surround Resolutions are not popping up at all.

Re: Halo PC using Eyefinity
Are you using Halo 1 or CE?
And are you having an issue with getting the just the FOV to work or are you not even getting the Resolution?
Did you try using a NOCD Crack?

Okay,
Can you set your resolution? (Probably a dumb question, but it wasn't answered above)
Did you try Running the FOV Hack in Administrative Mode? (I do that.)
Also Did you try increasing the FOV? (You have to do it Manually, it's not like widescreenfixer in which you pick which setup you use.)

Re: Halo PC using Eyefinity
The in-game menu, generally, will not show triplehead resolutions. You have to launch the game with command line parameters. You can modify the shortcut tot he game to accomplish this. Change the target of the shortcut so it looks something like this:
That will fore Halo to launch at 5040x1050 with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
Code: Select all
"C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesHalohalo.exe" -vidmode 5040,1050,60 -consoleThat will fore Halo to launch at 5040x1050 with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

Thanks that worked to get Halo CE to work in surround.

You have to use the RacerS Hack to Extend the FOV. Use "Num +" to increase the FOV after you activate the Hack.

Anything special needed to get the hack to work? It doesn't do anything when I try it. =/
Tried with Halo CE 1.0 and 1.09.
Re: Halo PC using Eyefinity
I got much better results using YeloBattery hack on this game, it fixes the HUD stretch issue as well and makes the game perfect.
Only problem is it only works up to 1.7 version, so no 1.9 Multiplayer.
