NFS Underground 2 - works but crashes - any ideas?

Post by waverider »

So I downloaded UniWS and a cracked exe and patched it to play on 1680x1050 resolution. And while it works fine some of the time it seems to crash randomly, always at the ingame loading screens.

I know there are other older threads discussing widescreen support of this game, but none of those threads answers this question. Please don't close this thread.

Has anybody knowledge about how to fix the crashing problem?

Just to isolate the problem, have you tried playing without the cracked EXE and just using a 4:3 ratio resolution (i know, i know... 4:3 is evil :P ) ... see if it still crashes for you in 1280x1024.

btw, what cpu are you using? AMD X2 or dual-core?

Yes, and I had absolutely no problems with the crashing before I installed the cracked EXE. The crashing problem seems to be occuring for about 25-30% of the times that the loading screen comes up, so if there's a way to fix the problem that would be awesome :)

I'm using a single core AMD64 3500+ at the moment.

Any ideas about this?
