I finally decided to go Eyefinity , buy the 5870 and wait for the Nvidia 3d vision surround to be time tested as well as the required 120HZ 24" monitors .

Anyway I didn't realize there were many makers of this card and I was
wondering is there good, bad or are all equal ?

They are all reference ATI design at the moment. The difference comes with the package contents, some include more games, some have longer warranty. The Asus card has an unlocked BIOS so it is easier to overclock. Other cards can be BIOS flashed though.

After researching, i went with XFX. Mostly for the double-lifetime, mod-friendly warranty. It came with a Dirt2 voucher, two DVI-VGA adapters, and a 2x molex-6pin PCI-E adapter.

Pretty lame that it didn't come with any DP or HDMI stuff, as I already have enough of those other adapters to consider tossing them. Though I can never bring myself to discard a cable or connector, as i just may need them one day.

I didn't really have a second choice for brand. I just waited for a XFX.

I think XFX is a solid mfg... but yeah, at this point they are all the same card, you're just shopping for the best price and best warranty... until MSI's lightning 5870 comes out.. it's a redesign and looks pretty nice.

A shorter more stout flavor with some upgraded power and cooling.. nifty!

Hmmm, aye, I suffer from the same thing.

There are some differences I've noticed. XFX has an XT and XXX version. Both run at 5200MHz memory clock instead of the (apparently) standard 4800 and 865 and 875 MHz core clock instead of 850.
Sapphire has a VaporX edition (coming soon for yours truly :D) - runs at 870MHz core and 5000MHz memory. And has a fancy cooler. It's playing hard-to-get though.

That's what I got from here anyway.
