{i want to play AOE on voobly + windows 7}

AFAIK voobly doesn't accept the patch (yet). Write the admins!!

Re windows 7: the batch file, not the patch, fixes it. You could use a similar batch file to start vooble (it pauses explorer, which fixes the palette issue).

This patch is great, thank you for taking the time to create it.

I'd like to ask one thing though!

Another game runs on the exact same engine as AOE2: Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and is this stuck with the same 3 resolutions. I'm not sure if the same technique can be used on that game but I would have your babies if you patched this game too.

beokbart, I'm trying to install your Aeo2Wide.exe for 2 days, but I have this problem:

The URL you posted does not link to a picture but to a html file, so please remove the [img] flags and everybody will be able to access it ;)
Anyway, the error message you get probably means that you're trying to patch the wrong exes... Keep in mind that the widescreen fix cannot be applied to the "official" exes, as explained by boekabart in the first post: you need to find no-cd cracks before you attempt to run Aoe2wide.

Indeed: You need a no-cd version of aoe2 WITH conquerors expansion. By they way from your shot it's possible that you have the 1.0e version - in which case those warnings are nonfatal.

Thnak you man for your repply. I bought Aoe Gold last week-end. I think I'll have my game between thuesday and friday. At this moment, I'll re-attempt to install Ae2Wide.

But I need your help before, for 3 things:
1) How can I know what version I have and if I need a patch for AoK or AoC?
2) Can I have a link to donwload AoK/AoC no cd crack? - Mod Edit : NO links to cracks can be publicly shared
3) I saw this week-end in a website a "FINAL PATCH" for AoK=> the latest patch (1.0e) and no cd crack. The man how present his patch say "Only for english version"... Why this? I can't fire this patch on my futur game?
