Hmmm, I'm just wondering of the plausibility of this type of game taking off, I will have to get my hands on it first to really know.

But it does look very very nice. Looking forward to hearing more about it!

Crackdown was awesome, had a great feel which is really important.

PCGAMER had a pretty indepth preview of it this issue I think it was. They didn't seem completely bowled over by it unfortunately. Worth a read.

I like the havoc, and the chaos. And the idea of killing civilians for bonus points! awesome!

wow ! fun gameplay trailer I like the ending with that guy dancing ;)

online GTA-like anyone ? seems like it to me ...

But I fear technical problems & lag given the highly detailed environments
plus as fun as it looks, the gameplay itself and whole balance will play a big part of its success

wait & see.
thanks for the heads up maherie :bowdown

I personally didn't like Crackdown for two main reasons: massive auto-aim reliance and lack of mission variance. Every single mission was "go through area to get to normal looking enemy with 10 health bars."

It had style and visual uniqueness, but the gameplay was lacking IMO.

This looks interesting, but its seems to be an MMO which means a monthly fee (renting). Also since this is primarily a shooter game it will most likely completely bork the driving portion. Don't get me wrong, I really really want this game to do well, I just don't see how it will.

It looks like this game focuses on gang warfare. What would be really cool, is if it gave you the opportunity to be a hitman or a serial killer. This probably wont happen since it would require in depth stealth elements. But yeah, blending in with the civilians as a wolf in sheeps clothing to avoid detection by real players would be really cool, IMO.

They have said it will not be subscription based, FYI.

After taking a few moments to settle down, all I have to say is that I'm definitely more interested in this game now.

I still stand by my driving mechanics and serial killer/hitman desires though. Blending in with the NPC horde would be so awesome.

It is good fun but still a fair amount of work to be done. I've been in the beta for a while. It really is a new form of game how it works, half deathmatch/objective based gameplay and half MMO :P
