Please help me choose!!

I currently have a 480GTX, and I am about to order (3) Dell U2311H monitors.

I would like the ability to game across all three monitors, but also I would like to be able to full screen apps independently in each window, as I do now with my native dual monitor setup.

Please help me to understand the best available options. I am tempted to get a Matrox Triplehead2go Digital to run @5760x1080, but I understand that I would then give up the ability to full screen to each monitor independently, which sucks.

Eyefinity, on the other hand, is largely a mystery to me other than to say that I have never had good luck with ATI cards, or their generally crappy drivers.

Thanks so much for any help, I have been researching now for about 3 hours this morning and it is incredibly difficult to find good concise information.

This question would probably be better put in one of the multi-monitor forums.

I don't have experience with multi-monitor myself, but if I were to choose I would get another GTX 480 so I can get more performance along with the surround screen support. The TripleHead2Go Digital is $300 I believe? You can grab another GTX 480 for $50-$100 more. The only problem is it needs to be the same one you already have to work in SLI. You also need the power supply to handle another one, so depending on your situation this may not be a viable option.

If that's the case I would go with the TripleHead2Go. I'm of the same opinion as you with ATI/AMD cards. While their multi-monitor support may be superior at the moment, their drivers are a headache and a half to deal with.
