No "Directx 10 preview mode" checkbox in FSX

Hey Everyone,

Short version:

Is there a way to force DirectX 10 preview mode in FSX?

Long version:

I just upgraded my machine to Win7 64, and I'm running 2 GTX460's in SLI. I installed FSX and got the resolution to 4080x768 no issues, but the field of view wasn't quite right. I set WideViewAspect to true in the .cfg, and it looks correct now but my framerate nosedived to something miserable like 7. I've read that I need to enable dx10 preview mode, and I recall seeing the checkbox in my previous install. Unfortunately, the option does not appear in my current install, despite the fact that this machine is obviously dx10 capable. Does anyone know a way to force dx10 preview mode?
