Acer AL2216W Almost Working @ 5040x1050 57hz in Windows 7

Post by autocadplease »

I have TH2Go with (3) Acer AL2216W. I never have been able to get the 5040x1050 mode to work in Vista because of its known issue, BUT I just upgraded to Windows 7 Professional and when I installed GXM 2.05 it allowed me to install the 5040x1050 mode. After the re-boot, I selected the 5040x1050 55Hz (57hz) and it worked (almost). The right monitor has a bit of flickering around any objects and the "Input Not Supported" box floats around. The left and center monitors are 100% fine. I have a 8800 GTS with 191.07 drivers. I tried swapping the displays, but what ever monitor has the right display, has the same flickering.

I have tried FSX (preview DX10) in 5040x1050 and it worked great, except the edge flickering and the "input Not Supported" box floating around.

Any suggestions to get the right monitor working 100%?

Hi autocadplease,

Just a question. Is your version of Windows 7 32bit or 64bit.
It seems that in all of these forums that people are getting
the 64bit version working with late drivers, but not the 32bit.

Thank you for your help.

Yeah this is always odd and frustrating because I had it working on Vista.

I tried swapping the displays, but what ever monitor has the right display, has the same flickering.

Have you updated the TH2G to the latest firmware version? My firmware version (which may not be the latest, worth checking online) is 2.3.40 (you can find this info by opening the Matrox PowerDesk and going to the About page).

The only other thing I can think of is that something hasn't saved properly in the profile, may be worth deleting all the profiles saved in PowerDesk and recreating them?
