Hello. I have been a long time visitor to this site since I purchased a widescreen monitor two years ago to search for solutions to the various issues some of my games had. It offers a wealth of knowledge that I am glad is being offered to the community. Currently I have a single ASUS VH242H I purchased when it was first released. I know it is only a TN panel, but it offers great response time which is a must for gaming and its black levels aren't too shabby. Someday I'd like to have three 30" monitors in landscape for the ultimate experience.
I am a programmer trying to get a job in the games industry and I know all about setting up a view frustum, so it baffles me seeing developers taking extra time to implement widescreen incorrectly. Hopefully I can spread some information around once I get my foot in the door and I'm able to pursue my passion for a living.

Re: Hello
Welcome. :) If you can bring some sense into the world of game developing when it comes to widescreen/Surround, all the better! ;) :D
