As far as I can tell, all the 22 inch monitors I have used previously are 16:10 (1680 x 1050), but now the market is flooded with 16:9 HD monitors (1920 x 1080). Can these monitors support the required 3 x 1680 x 1050 or will the picture look weird due to the new monitors being a different ratio?

They'll look a little distorted. :( As as you're after Triplehead, I can even suggest that you run them with fixed aspect ratio scaling enabled. :(

No worries, thanks for the reply. I figured that would be the case but thought I'd ask anyway!

With manufacturers moving to the 16:9 format, will the TH2G need another firmware update to cope? Soon 16:10 monitors will be hard to buy, surely. I'm already having difficulty.

I presume another firmware update will be necessary, but you'll have to ask MarkB (our Matrox rep) for more details there I'm afraid.

This shift toward 16:9 is a bit annoying, to be honest - I like 16:10... the tiny bit of extra height is worth it's weight in gold on a PC. :) But I suppose it's this trend toward "single-device" home entertainment, where one thing does everything... or seems to.
