5760x1080 resolution selected, but gameplay only on 1 screen

Post by tim.maciejewski »

I have Assassin's Creed 2 with the version 1.01 update. I enter the game, and set the resolution to 5760 x 1080. I go back to the gameplay, but the gameplay is only on the center monitor. The left and right monitor stay black. If I go back to the options, the 5760 x 1080 resolution is still selected. Its as if the game is running in eyefinity, but not displaying the image on the left and right monitor. I have tried exiting and re-starting the game after adjusting the resolution.

I am using a Radeon HD 5850 with the newest catalyst software suite (10.11).

Any ideas?

Thank you.

I still have to install this game myself, but...

As stated in the Detailed Report, part of the game remains 16:9 anamorphic in multi-mon. On your 3x 16:9 setup, it may look like only one monitor is used but the side panels probably turn black, not blank. Play for at least one hour into the story - if the game was never Hor+ at that point, then something's wrong. ;)

I've probably played 10+ hours into the game. I've unlocked the Villa and Tuscany.

Why would the screens "be black", as opposed to working. How do I extend the 16:9 ratio over all three monitors?

Just installed the game, patched it, ran it, and... it's Hor+ at 5220x1050. Graphics settings are stored in AppDataRoamingUbisoftAssassin's Creed 2Assasin2.ini but there is no aspect ratio or Eyefinity entry in it. I don't know what to say. :?
