Hi All,

I have been running 2 x 5870 eyefinity editions CF'ed with catalyst 10.4 for a while now (with widescreenfix) to play MW2 and Black Ops with no problems (apart from moderate/tolerable tearing).

I just added a 3rd eyefinity edition 5870's on my system and now things went wrong...
here's my system FYI: http://www.lostabarnakos.com/

Now with my 3rd card activated, Black Ops has horrible stuttering right from the menu and is unusable. most of the screen is invisible and there is a flashing line sweeping the screen from top to bottom which flashes and you can make out the menus but only in that line (about 200px in height).
If I change the Crossfire settings to use only 2 cards, poof, everything works fine again.

with 3 GPU's, Black Ops stutters but If I stumble my way to the graphics menu and set the in game resolution to 1920x1200, this goes away immediately but as soon as I put it back to any eyefinity type resolution, it comes back. (with or without widescreenfix activeted). I can also confirm that I have tried MW2 on 3 cards and it works fine.

I have tried to install 10.11, but this version has been problematic in properly recognizing all 5 of my screens. I have tried 10.10 and was able to setup my 5 screen desktop (3 screen eyefinity with 2 extended desktops) but the confiruration got messed up after 1 reboot and I was unable to recover it and was unable to test Black Ops with it.

At this point I have only been able to play black ops with 2 gpu's active (on 10.4) and have been unable to benefit from my 3rd brand new card.

I wonder if any of you have had experience running a main 3 screen eyefinity with at least 1 or 2 monitors as an extended desktop on the catalyst driver and if you would be so kind as to tell me which catalyst version gave you the best results proper crossfire scaling whine in eyefinity (best black ops performance is my main focus at this time), and of course stability and working with all 5 screens.

I may even be willing to forfeiter my 4-5th screens at this point if it will give me a stable, usable 3 card eyefinity crossfire to play black ops.

Thanks for reading.

Your input would be appreciated.

Eric

So I've reinstalled 10.11 and now I was getting the dreaded BSOD...
Did a driver sweap and reinstalled and FINALLY, I have a working
3 card crossfire that works properly in Black Ops.

Scaling with my current settings (5760x1200, all to max, aa 4x af 8, no shadows):
1 card - 55 fps average
2 cards - 90 fps average
3 cards - 110 fps average

Now I need to wrap my head around the weird latency that I get...
it's not lag or microstutter, it's kind of like input lag but it's not because I know
my screens/mouse ect do not have noticeable input lag...
I've been trying all sorts of tweaks including modding the config_mp.cfg file
but they only give me a little more FPS and that's not what I'm after...

Anyone tried the Von modded drivers on a 3 card 5870 eyefinity rig ?
