Issue with third TFT monitor with all driver after 10.03
Issue with third TFT monitor with all driver after 10.03
Hi everyone!
First, thanks for a very good site with much good information.
I have a an issue understanding where my problem is (hardware/firmware/driver/other), below is the hardware I have available.
1 - ATI 5850 Graphic card (at the moment with 10.12 Preview)
3 - DELL 2209WA TFT screens (normally use the 76Hz trick on them but have tried normal PNP driver also and 60Hz)
1 - Samsung LCD TV (LE40A557)
1 - Accell UltraAV DP to DVI-D adapter (p/n B087B-002B)
1 - HTC 220V-USB charger (5V - 1Amp)
So my issue is that I have a very hard time to get a picture on the TFT screen that use the DP-DVI adapter, often I don't get any picture and some time I do when I go for a 2 screen setup (DVI + DP) and I can't find any reason for this. What will work every time is to use two TFT screen with my LCD TV (I use the adapter with the TV most of the time).
I have tried to power the adapter from the computer USB or from the HTC charger but it don't make any difference.
Anyone that could give me some suggestions to try out?

Re: Issue with third TFT monitor in Eyefinity setup
Still have not found a good solution for my problem, last driver that work for me is 10.03 version
Good - 10-3_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe
Bad - 10-4_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe
Bad - 10-5_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu.exe
Bad - 10-6_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu.exe
Bad - 10-7_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu.exe
Bad - 10-8_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu.exe
Bad - 10-9_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu.exe
Bad - 10-10_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu.exe
Bad - 10-11_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enu.exe
Bad - Catalyst_10.12_CCC2_Preview_Win7_Dec7.exe
I can combine 10-3_vista64_win7_64_dd.exe with 10-12_vista_win7_32-64_ccc_lang3.exe with no problem
As there is a lot of game updates between 10.03 and 10.12 I don't want to stick with 10.03 and will not use the Eyefinity and only use the computer with 2 screens + my LCD TV. But then I have a extra screen for no use :(

Adapters suck. Buy the new single link adapters and be done with it.

Re: Issue with third TFT monitor with all driver after 10.03
A update on my issue.
A bought the active "SAPPHIRE ADAPTER ACTIVE DISPLAYPORT TO DVI" and now it work as it should.
Still I think it strange that the Accell UltraAV DP to DVI-D adapter will not work with my TFT screen as it should.

It's probably because the adapter wasn't getting enough power.

Re: Issue with third TFT monitor with all driver after 10.03
Why do you think that?
Do you don't think a 5V 1Amp supply should not be able to deliver enough power?
And why those it work with a LCD TV with 10m DVI-HDMI cable between?

Didn't read your list of equipment.

It should be enough, I was using an IPhone 3G power adapter and it powered mine.

That, I don't know.
