sl-dvi to dp active adapter problem

hey all. everything seems to be working better on the computer and i can run crossfire games just fine with the occasional over heat. the problem i keep running into is that i got a powercolor sl-dvi active dp adapter for the computer. every time i start the computer and get into windows, all 3 monitors are at 640x480 resolution and i got to disable, enable, play with dvi alternate mode, dvi reduced frequency, and all that and eventually i get the 3 screens (acer x223w) back to 5040x1050. half the time the monitor doesn't have a signal, well it says "no signal". there must be a fix or perhaps its cataclyst causing the problems? anyone else have similar problems?
