I'll stop right there without reading any further into what you said because obviously you see any business as not caring about customers merely because they're profiting. What a shallow mindset. You may as well say every person on the planet doesn't care about anyone but themselves because they all work for money and the world is nothing but a big sleazy pit of materialists.

What you must learn to seperate, is the company and the people working for it (even those on top). Bill Gates have done a lot of good privately, while Microsoft have done a lot of bad decitions for money that has hurt their customers. Microsoft is not evil by that, its just how business dynamics are. In multinational companies, its all about numbers. Same goes for Jen-Sun Huang that you don't like. He's done a lot of good private.

A company is there for profit and thats what they do. Their obligations is towards the shareholders and sometimes that means they have to make decitions where customer suffers in order to make more $$$ for their shareholders. They really don't have any higher idealistic purpose.

You can call me shallow, but I think you are naive.

For once you need to put yourselves in their shoes. Have you ever even run a small business of your own or had a high ranking position in a large business? I suspect the pressure would make you realize what responsibilities they have and just how difficult it can be.

I work for a multi-billion dollar company (many times bigger then Nvidia) and I own a small company (my wife runs it). I'm directly responsible for the results of me and those that work under me. I've faced hard decitions and difficult conversations. If I don't do my job, they find others to do it instead. I have no illusions that there is a higher idealistical purpose of the company other then making money. They have their HSE, code of ethics etc. But its the results that counts. Thats the hard facts of life.

LOL, I find it odd you see fit to lecture me based on your claim of taking part in a multi billion dollar company your wife runs, esp after you were the one labeling Nvidia mostly as an entire corporation not caring at all about consumers. I'm not naive, you just don't know how self righteous and hypocritical that sounds to be labeling an entire corp, then act like you're calling me out merely for saying I don't like the way Jen-Sen Huang does his job. If you really are involved in a biz involving lots of money, it's obviously gone to your head, as it does with many, and I don't need any red text to illustrate that.

Furthermore it has just come to my understanding that what most of you are harping about here as far as boo hoo, long months of waiting very well may not be in fact the case. I have found from someone that knows Nvidia's plans fairly well that there will be some kind of GT300 in Dec. I think you need to go back to business school and stop acting like a typical whining Nvidia bashing ATI customer. It's rather hard to buy with the way you act that you in fact have such a lofty position, otherwise why would you be spending so much time here as a mere forum admin that nets little to no pay? Oh right, cuz your wife runs the biz, not you. LOL

Frag, read his post again and understand it.

I work for a multi-billion dollar company (many times bigger then Nvidia) and I own a small company (my wife runs it).

I'm sick of petty arguements that seem to be lately you vs. random forum member. Cool it down mate I'm getting tired of seeing it. It doesn't hurt to agree on topics occasionaly... and although you do have valid points, leave out the personal attacks.

I won't say it again.

I stepped away from this because it was obvious the direction it would take.

When it steps away from discussing the tech, and devolves into personal attacks - which you moved to first Frag Maniac - is when it becomes clear that it's gone on for far too long.

For that last post, which was written obviously in the heat of the moment having completely misread what Tamlin wrote, I strongly suggest you apologise.

I gave Frag Maniac more than long enough to apologise for his attitude toward Tamlin, which given that he misread what Tamlin wrote I felt was appropriate.

Given that I am not prepared to allow that sort of attitude to be aimed at anyone on this forum - let alone a moderator - because someone failed to read and comprehend something correctly, Frag Maniac is now on a two-week holiday.

Once those two weeks have passed, we'll see where we go from there.

Seems that was all BS, theres now viscious denials from nV on the withdrawel statement.

Dont get me wrong, i dont like nVidia, but they show ATi up for SHIT performance in the f@h applications for just 1 reason. I would hate to see them go, the market needs competition. Roll on 5850 price reductions after the initial rush, and then GT300 cometh
