Question about triple monitor software for 5760x1080.

Post by driftefx »

I own a TH2GO and I am bummed out how it cannot pump out higher resolutions due to limited hardware specifications. I would love to see my displays run at 5760 x 1080.

My current set up -

i975 EE OC'd to 4.5
Quad SLI 295 GTX

I've been doing a lot of research and I've found this amazing little gem.

That thread shows an interesting approach on how to achieve higher resolutions. Here is a diagram:

Videocard Displays
________
|
DVI-D +-----------------------> LCD #1
| ____
Out | | |
put | | +------> LCD #2
| | |
DVI-D +---------->| +- (N.C)
________| | |
| +------> LCD #3
|___|

So basically, use the TH2GO in dual mode. Max resolutions are 1920 x 1200. Add all three and you get 5760 x 1200.

On the linux forums, they use TwinView and Xinerama to achieve gaming on all three screens. So my question is, are there any programs out there that will allow me to do the same in Windows?

Horizontal spanning would work... just not in 3d games.
