Hello!
I'm currently using 2 XFX HD5850 1G cards in Crossfire to run 3 BenQ 2420 screens in Eyefinity at 5760x1080. All the screens are attached to the same card using DVI/DVI/DP-adapter-to-VGA. My question is this: Is it possible to add a 4th screen, hooking it up to the 2nd card and running it ouside the Eyefinity group while still having Crossfire enabled? I'm wanting to play games in Eyefinity over the 3 screens and having an additional screen available for monitoring software, instant messaging and what not. Anyone know if this is possible and if it is, how do I go about acheiving it?
Cheerio and thanks in advance!

Bump for an answer before I go the eyefinity route please (I have been enjoying 4 monitors on a triplehead2go, but I want better gaming performance - what a coincidence, because I just came on here to ask the same question before I saw this thread).

The answer is no. In crossfire mode the other inputs just duplicate what the ports on the main card do.
That's how crossfire has always worked actually.
But out of the gaming space, you can turn off crossfire and have the additional screens. It sucks I know, but you could always replace one or both of those cards with the eyefinity 6 addition which would give you additional outputs.
