I've just reinstalled Doom 3 & the expansion pack (Resurrection of Evil) as I felt like playing them again, yet when I went into options there's no 1440x900 setting which is the resolution of my monitor.
I found the following supposed solution, and made sure I did EXACTLY as it said, yet when I go into the game after changing the .cfg file the resolution resets back to 640x480 for some strange reason.
Solution - http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Doom_3
Why is it resetting my resolution back to 640x480 every time I load up the game? Is there any way around this, and how can I properly set it so that
I'm able to play the game using a 1440x900 resolution?
If at the end of the day there's absolutely no way of fixing it, I'm left with two options I guess... 1) Choose 1280x1024 resolution or 2) Choose 1600x1200 resolution. These are the two closest resolutions to mine that are listed so which would you say is the better choice to pick?. As you can see, it completely skips 1440x900 for some reason, and like I said above, even changing the .cfg file isn't working.
Many thanks in advance for any help! (Also see screenshot below of my System settings in Doom 3 showing that it keeps reverting to 640x480 resolution when starting the game). I've also patched both games (the original AND the expansion) to the latest versions aswell. And finally, I'm not sure if this is of any relevance but it seems that if I turn V Sync OFF then it doesn't allow any Anti Aliasing, yet if I have V Sync enabled I CAN have AA on.
