I don't think that is the desktop resolution.

Search for hexadecimal values. not text values.

nice easy fix if you dont want to hex edit but the fov is to close for a lot of the video compared to manually editing the hex based on a single resolution value.
tried it both ways and i will stick with manually editing it to 5968*1080. thanks though

If you're not comfortable with hex editing, try this:
[quote]The ultimate hex edit for Prototype:

I think everybody is happy now

Prototype Ultimate Hex Edit ---> DOWNLOADDownload the file and paste it over the existing one. The game should now run at your desktop res.

Replace the whole "resolution field" with 9999s and the game will run at your desktop res. That's right, it'll always run at your *current* desktop resolution - this fix is not even limited to your native res alone !!

Cool. Thanks.

Not sure how i missed this so long ago, but after seeing a video on Prototype 2, I got the itch to play the original again.

Hi - does anyone have the hex

Post by sam3 »

Hi - does anyone have the hex to enable anti aliasing?

Im using a 6970 with 2GB of vram and it wouldnt let me enable aa or 1080p. Ive enabled 1080p using the modded dll file posted above but I would like to enable aa as well.
I know i could force anti aliasing through ccc but i would much rather enable it permanently in the dll file (so i dont have to keep opening ccc and adjusting settings each time i want to play another game).

thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply. It wouldn't let me change aa before or after replacing the dll.
Does this mean aa settings are stored in a different file? (since you overwrite the dll - and your aa settings still remain)

Okay i just fired up my game and I can change the AA to anything I want , while using the edited .DLL. I'm using the .DLL that references your desktop resolution for a display, and lists the in-game resolution as "Label".

Get it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?tnyytylqmn1
