AmbX is known to come with a noticable framerate hit. While this isn't too bad on its own, it will be coupled with the significant framerate hit from Triplehead. You're going to need a beefy video card my friend. Other than that you shouldn't have to much trouble with it.

I think scavvenjah, one of our mods, has an AmbX setup. He might be able to give you some hints and tips.

And by the way - can I crop image if FPS for example in some game is too low?
Let's sey I have 3x22 and so 5040x1050 res natively. Can I switch to 4800x1024 or 4200x1050 but have in result smaller image but not the same size with worse quality?

And yes, you can run at a smaller resolution (windowed or not) for better framerates.

What is "digital scaling tools"? Just now I have single 8800GTX and a single 22' monitor.
Just for now I allready ordered TH2GO Digital and 2 more 22' monitors. I know that ATI card's do not support 3x1680x1050 res so I'll buy NV 295 or 2xNV280 I think.
Is NVidia drivers support that digital scaling tools? And do they can help to get cropped image with black lines in background instead of win desktop like if I am using "window" option in the game?
P.S.: Sorry for my english

And in addition:
I read a lot of threads here. Surround Gaming community is really big and friendly. A lot of members have already tried Matrox TH2GO vs. SoftTH. Just now is the stage when I can cancel my order (TH2GO), save 360$ and use SoftTH instead.
I know that SoftTH allow using different res monitors but do not allow of using SLICrossfire technology. TH2GO can only handle max 3x1680x1050 res but we can use SLICrossfire with it.
Question is only in difference in quality of implementation TripleHead gaming. I know that TH2GO support more number of games and you don't need to search for settings each time you want to play new game (with SOftTH you must) - that is big plus! But what about image stretch, HUD stretch and position of my HUD? I'd like my HUD to be in a primary monitor - that is much more comfortable than look aside and search for it on side monitors.
Is there some ideas?

to your questions about softth: if you want to go triplehead, the dth2go is the way to go, because the number of games supported is way higher ... about 20+ games with softth and 250+ with dth2go. furthermore softth has a huge impact on your framerate as far as ive heard.
about implementation of surroundgaming: like written above, its about 250 games, but be aware - most come with the so called "fisheye-effect" (fov distortion at the outer edges), though it exists already in 4:3 resolutions, the extreme field of view of dth2go makes it more visible.
now if you want to have your hud in games in the center-monitor it gets more difficult. wow for example makes it easy with the customization as far as i know, but in other games it gets more difficult, especially shooters. there are some hacks on the net, most likely even here on the board.

Thank you. Now it is pretty clear for me. TH2GO is my choice.
And about fish-eye effect... If there is such a problem why bigger part of TripleHead Gamers choose 3x16:10 (Widescreen) instead of 3x3:4 monitors?
P.S.: I have decide to get 3x22 wide screens but now again I am not sure what to choose...

I myself have a problem with the fisheye effect but only because I play a lot of WoW. this is a third person game but for game like Oblivion or HL or FEAR etc, he fish eye really helps you peripheral vision for immersion. :) So regarding the fisheye, it depends on the game you play.
Few nooby quastions after purchasing *twice renamed :)*
The fisheye effect is a non-issue for most games. The majority of games draw your focus to the center screen, and so the peripherals, while adding information that you previously didn't see, mostly serve for immersion. They can let you know about an oncoming enemy, but in the end it's about seeing more, not focusing on the wider areas. You don't turn your head to the outer screens, you turn your character to the outer screens.
Look at some of the Youtube videos and focus on the left and right 1/3rds. You'll see the distortion, and it's really up to you whether or not it seems like a big deal.
If you have the monitors now, download VLC and one of the TH movies from the site, here is a link to a TF2 gameplay video in Triplehead: here
Open up the movie in VLC and pause it. Go to Tools -> Extended Settings, and under video look around and find the "Wall" options, and set them to enable with 3 columns and one row.
Maximize the respective windows to each of your monitors and watch the peripheral ones closely. You're the only person that can decide whether or not the distortion is an issue. In most games you'll be in such awe at the awesomeness you won't even notice.
And so why do most people choose 3*16:10 instead of 3*4:3 or narrower aspect ratios? Simple. Wider is better

And now I am really KNOW what I am going for! I see a lot of TH video but never noticed or pay attantion on that feesh-eye effect! I understand it now! SO it'll be not issue when I finish my setup i think. Otherwise SoftTH will show the same image as TH2GO - it depend's on game engine, not devisesoftware. Now it's clear to me.
I really exited about all that stuff! Can't wait untill I get my TH2GO =)

Guys. It finally happened! Today I get my TH2GO and two more 22" Acer P223Wb. Setup is finally completed and what can I say... IT AMAZING! I really love it!
Million THX to all of you!
Setting all up take may be an hour. I had problem with setting native for 22" monitors 1680x1050 res but update of PowerDesk was my solution.
Now I can set 5040x1050 but there one problem... it's difficult to explain.
I have my old Acer P223W (VGA, DVI and 5mc) mon as centre and two Acer P223Wb (a little bit differ model with VGA, DVI, HDVI and 2mc) as side ones.
On centre mon all is OK, but side ones is little bit stretched in hight. For ex. my taskbar on centre is visible like it must - full size, on side monitors I can see only top line of taskbar - maybe few pixels not more. And so text on side monitors is a little bit bloored.
I am asking for help. Really can't find solution on my own :(

Did you get the analog TH2Go? It sounds like your side monitors are hooked up with VGA cables, not DVI.

I get TripleHead2GO Digital Edition. All mu monitors have both VGA and DVI plugins. I use DVI-DVI cabels without using any adapters. Matrox inself is connected to my 8800GTX with dual-DVI cabel.
Any ideas? :(

I think it has to do with your scaling. you must set the scaling to be controlled by your monitor and not your gfx card I think but the experts can correct me if I am wrong.
Oh, and btw,...gz :)

gz = grats = congrats :)
Anyways, if you have an nvidia, yo can go into your control panel by right-clicking the icon in your tray and selecting 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.
Then select 'Change flat panel scaling' and select the option 'Use my displays built-in scaling'.
I'm not sure how to do it for ATI.
