So what's the solution to KOTOR 2 WS?

Hey, i'm having problems getting a WS resolution of 1440x900 to work for KOTOR 2.
I have the 1.0b version and can patch the exe with UniWS without errors, however the game is sort of windowed.
It doesn't open in a window, but the actual menu etc are minimized into a window and the rest is black space.
I've tried different resolutions, my drivers are up to date and i can't think of anything else to try, and i'm currently playing on 1280X1024 but it looks outright disgusting and really bugs me.

So what can you do with this? Could a manual edit help (My exe is not the original one, it's a crack)? If so, where could i find instructions?
I should point out that i also have KOTOR 1 installed and it works perfectly on 1440X900 using UniWS and the HUD Fixes.

Can you post a screenshot of what you're talking about?

I'm pretty familiar with the KOTOR hacks (I'm the one that created the edited HUD files), but have never seen or heard anything like what you're describing before.

Also UniWS actually only works on a no-CD (cracked) version of the game, so you're actually ok there, but it does have to be a specific version crack.
