Half Life 2 Crosshair [now fixed with source 2009 update]

Post by BOBO0045 »

I just got my three monitors set up to eyefinity. (i'm new to this setup up in gaming)

I have this little problem when i'm playing Half life 2. when I use the gun, my target aim has disappeared. Is there a solution to that or do i just have to live with that when I play eyefinity? Thank you. :D

Edit: See further in thread. The update to newest version of the source engine now shows the crosshair again.

This is a known issue, and apparently the only viable fix is to install the Cimematic Mod.

It makes it looks VERY nice, and does not change any gameplay. it's just a facelift.

I'm amazed that there's no fix for this yet. The official forums hmaybe have a better/alternative solution.

It will likely be fixed when HL2 gets ported to the Source2009 engine (for Mac Support, dynamic shadows, achievments etc)

I just tried it, and there's a crosshair present from the beginning. Didn't play until I get weapons though, but I take it for granted it works now.

Sweet.

I also just found that Goldeneye Source beta4 is out. It's another good excuse to install Half Life 2. I also have yet to try it with EF.

Crosshairs is there but initially I thought it wasn't coz its so hard to see, its comprised of 5 single pixels, anyway to make it bigger?

If it's the same as CSS

Code: Select all

cl_crosshairscale "2500"

Increase the number to get it larger.
No idea if it is the same as CSS though - although I don't see why not.
