I would rather have 3x projector + 3x80" screen + matrox triplehead.
12 linux machines cluster... all those PC and monitors will probably suck electricty like crazy.
plus I'm sure there will be alot of input lags having to sync the monitors and controls. since they communicate over the network.

This project was most likely done as a project to show that you can network multiple machines to all work on the same task with relative efficiency. Not as a awesome gaming rig.
