Hello I have an Ati 57XX from Sapphire, that allows Eyefinity, initially i have a lot of problems to setup 3x1 eyefinity group with 3 Sanyo projectors ( 1024x768 )
I Connected 2 DVI-I to VGA passive adapters and one DP -> VGA active adapter, but the only result was triple clone view.
I read a lot about EDID definitions problems, and seems that ATI card refuses from some problem like this, the DP adapter sometimes fails to Link .
Before start with moninfo I did a very simple VGA adapter with one 15 pin male and 15 pin female connector, with just Gnd and Horizontal sync,Vertical sync , R,G and B signals. This forces ATI to set a default EDID/settings to of not EDID monitors (Windows 7 refers to the monitor as "Non PNP Monitor").
WARNING : You must set a resolution/refresh rate that your screen supports.
I use two adapters of this kind on ATI DVI inputs :
ATI CARD < DVI-VGA ADAPTER < VGA HOMEMADE ADAPTER < VGA PROJECTOR
And the DP -> VGA adapter one projector directly .
And now it is working fine in 3x1 Group.
I Just Write if this trick could help anyone setting Eyefinity.
This is my first post. Thank you all people posting because is very useful forum.
PD: I Sorry about my horrible english, I'm not native.
