I've already got a PS3. ;) I got an original EU model with (sort of) backwards compatibility in there.
Nice.

I'm planning on getting one myself once I can sell my 360.

To be honest, my PS3 gets more duty cycles as a DVD upscaler/Blu-ray player than a games console at the minute. Both consoles are good, but Disgaea 3 is win; I'm contemplating finally purchasing a 360 in January for the JRPGs on the thing.

That's exactly what I'm looking for atm.

The movie lover in me can no longer stand to watch poorly upscaled DVDs on my 46" Bravia with 5.1 Surround.

No longer interested in the community and/or new games for the 360, so I figured I just sell it and get one of the best Blu-Ray players on the market.

One thing I'll say... despite it's other flaws, the Cell processor does upscaling really well.

The only DVDs I've got that don't look really good are the old BBC comedy shows that have really old source tapes (and are therefore fairly low quality DVDs in the first place)...

Unless there is some illegal stuff in the agreement you sign when getting the card, they can't stop you from simply paying it off every month (and thus never paying the insane interest of Credit Cards) or after using it for that PS3 purchase, never using it again.

Of course, Sony would then have a fair amount of info on you. If they don't already, of course.

Paying off ? The credit card I have is linked to my bank account and gets paid for every month automatically. I wouldn't even think of actually using 'credit'. It's merely a convenient payment method for online purchases :)
Does cost about €12,50 a year just to have it I think.

I think the way credit cards work in the UK, and the way they work abroad are different. Mine doesn't cost me money, unless I forget to pay it off... and I never forget to pay it off. Not directly linked to a bank account, either.

That's how mine works too. Though AmEx keeps sending me cards that I would have to pay monthly fees for if I wanted the privilege of being in debt to them. These cards then go into the shredder before I even open the envelope.

Cards that require monthly fees are just... weird. You're exactly right - why would I pay for the privilege of being in debt?
