PC vs. Mac (PIC)
I use both Macs and PCs. Macs are better for everything except gaming. There are a lot of reasons that go into that, too.
Anyway, that picture is just meant to strike argument. They clearly exaggerated the price of the Mac, and they exaggerated what the PC pictured (with price) can do. ;)

Not to mention all the cables on the PC. Im going to assume thats an iMac, At the very least they could have used an all in one PC as well..

I'm almost positive that the pricing and "gaming" comparison was an appendage by a PC user at a later date.

Hilarious pic. :D
I'm a PC user/fan, but I have had a lot of Mac experience. The argument of "which is better" is largely moot, since neither can claim significant "exclusive functionality" like they could 10-15 years ago. PCs can do graphics work; Macs can play games. The differences are mostly in style, business model, a few exclusive apps, price (sometimes), and control over hardware. For Joe (The Plumber) User, either would work fine. For hardcore users of some sort, one platform might have an advantage, but these users generally know exactly what they want and are never in a "buying quandary".
Having said all that, I'll give my final opinion:
PCs rule, Macs suck. Just because.

Bastard, as soon as you said Joe the Plumber all of my internal thoughts and reading became narrated by the voice of Sarah Palin. Do you know how horrible that is?

Yepp. If i didn't game, I'd have a Mac, no doubt about it.
But, I DO game, so PC it is. And Windows... ugh.
Too lazy to learn Linux, ATM.

If it wasn't illegal to build your own mac from your own parts, then there really would be no PC vs. Mac argument. Everything would blur into the same. It's just the "you have to buy it as it + some check these boxes if you want an extra gig of ram or a better video card". Which is basically what happens with Dell etc. PCs. But the 1 difference is PCs can also be custom built, and user built.
With Boot Camp, and the fact that Macs are now x86 you can basically just install windows and game that way now. So it's just the above point that's the difference.

Mac for the win. I'm never going back to a pc. Gaming I do on my 360.
I think it's rather funny btw that the pictured mac on that site can be bought for 999 dollar. So that makes the pc more expensive. :P

A 360 can run Crysis? Really?
...
To be honest, I don't care one way or the other. I dislike the 'single button' mice on Macs, but that is fixable. I also dislike the price of Macs. Pretty much everything that can be done on Mac can also be done on PCs. And vice versa. So it's personal taste.
If Apple allowed a high-end GPU on their systems, then all would be equal. Barring price, of course.

The reason they are expensive is because Apple is a hardware company. Mac OS X is just a small part of Apple. Microsoft just makes Windows and sells it. Apple actually designs and manufacturers their own hardware.
I think anyone that has owned a Mac can praise the overall quality of a Mac. They are made with quality parts, are very sturdy, and have a nice style to them.
As for the pricing, it’s been compared many times, and Macs are basically the same price as their PC equivalent. If you were to look at a store-bought computer and find a PC that matches the hardware of a Mac, you’ll find that the prices are extremely close to each other, if not equal.
Gaming on Macs will take awhile to come together. The main reason why Windows, and the Xbox 360, are so popular with developers is because of DirectX. DirectX is a complete package. It has audio, video, multimedia, input/output, etc. It’s also highly documented and there’s plenty of support from Microsoft. When you switch to Linux or Mac OS X, there are no complete packages. They both use OpenGL, and the Khronos Group, Inc. will not provide support for every developer that uses it. You’re stuck using Google. This may sound fine for hobbyists, but for full, licensed developers, this can be a big deal. All of this is still just video. For audio, multimedia, networking, input/output, etc. you still need to find third-party libraries to handle those, or write your own. So now developers are stuck using a bunch of third-party libraries without any support behind them. Making them play nicely together and having a consistent style of coding is a difficult task. Basically, for publishers and developers to develop for Mac OS X, Apple (or someone else) needs to put together a package of libraries and provide support for it. Since Apple is a hardware company, it may be a long time before they get around to doing something like that.
Anyway, Macs are great. It’s nice to have the full power of UNIX complete with professional, commercial software.

Sorry, my bad, I was thinking about FarCry 2.

Mac OSX handles all intel chipsets. So really...you can install it on any box for the most part. My brother in law just did it on his AMD X2 with an 8800GTS. It makes no difference. As long as someone wrote a driver for it.
Linux is linux.
Windows is okay. I personally use XP since I'm lazy, (I used to do IT for a living) but mac OSX sucks for businesses IMHO and linux takes too long to configure to my liking...so I stay with XP...

I think hes referring to the fact that Crytek was crying about PC Piracy, and the possibility of switching over to console development. Then announcing that they sold a million copys of Crysis. Which is a respectable number across any platform, let alone a PC Exclusive and not to mention a new I.P..
