Why no talk of this monitor? As far as I know, it uses a newer version of the panels found in Dell's 3007WFP.

I plan on getting this soon, does anyone already have it? Experience, comments, suggestions?

I guess not. Not many people have 30" panels, overall. You can provide the first User Review...

The WSGF is the best place. Unfortunately, a 30" panel is still a premium item - so they are relatively rare. And, LG isn't the most popular of brands, so that diminishes the chance for input more. A number of people could give input on the Dells, and some on the HP, and even on the Gateway. LG just isn't in the top picks at the moment.

For a 30", the LG is one of the best. It uses revision 5 of their 30" panel, which is the latest out right now. Dell's 3007 uses an older one, and the 305t is a PVA panel.

But there's gotta be at least a couple forum veterans who have this monitor.... I wanted pictures/reviews/comments etc.

BTW I hail from [H] :)

Well... I think it is not the greatest screen.

I looks ugly :P

If LG is wanna make a good screen that looks good the have to go with this line:

The specs of the L246WH-BN is a better line then the 30" screen. So... i think you dont want to buy a L3000-BN. Go for Dell or the new NEC 30":

I found some more info on the LG 30": http://www.hardware.info: http://www.hardware.info/en-UK/productdb/bGRkaZiWmJfKYcg/viewproduct/LG_W3000HBN_W3000HBN/index.php#

I think it is, for the price. The best contestant for a 30" imo.

- Super low input lag
- Latest version of LG's 30" panel (LG makes excellent panels)
- S-IPS Panel
- No scaler is actually a plus for me.

I've never done a monitor review before, but I recently got a Spyder3 and I might do one :P

Is there a guide to "reviewing monitors"?

We don't have a formal review outline. We are working on some guidelines to help folks. Until then, check out some of the reviews here.

Find one you like, and use it as a model.

I think it is, for the price. The best contestant for a 30" imo.

- Super low input lag
- Latest version of LG's 30" panel (LG makes excellent panels) >>who makes bad ones already ?
- S-IPS Panel >>I like PVA : better response time, almost the same view angles.
- No scaler is actually a plus for me.
I don't think these are particularly exciting features, so I'd be really interested in a detailed review :)

If e-IPS technology hits 30" sizes, I may take an interest in 2560x1600, though I'd prefer a 16:9 aspect ratio.
