I prefer tighter dot-pitchs. 22 inch screens look blurry and terrible, but I have an NEC 20WMGX2. 20" of pure awesomeness. if you go 22" pay the little more and go 23-24".

If you have a video card that will push 4x aa and higher on most games, I say get a 22. I have both, and with everything equal, the 20 is much better looking without aa. I use the 22, however, because it actually makes a difference for me for immersion and I have an 8800gt, so I can run aa on most games. If you already have the card, however, Skeeder is right. Get a 24.

I think Tamlin made the best point, it's all relative to viewing distance. You should sit farther away as the pixel size increases. I don't think all comments made above are necessarily related to only pixel size either. You'd have to have the exact same model of monitor setup exactly the same way in two different sizes to accurately make some of the claims mentioned above.
