Using SoftTH, and Blacksite Area 51 runs at 3840x1024 fine but the aspect ratio is a bit squished (like a 4:3 image streteched to 16:10, not super-stretched like Frontlines Fuel of War). Also the FOV is too zoomed in and needs to be pulled back.

Game is still playable, and the FOV is the big deal, things are too in your face sometimes.

I tried enabling the console so I could adjust the FOV by uncommenting the section in the ConfigBaseInput.ini but no luck:

[Engine.Console]
ConsoleKey=Tilde
TypeKey=Tab

Anyone made any progress on this game?

Thanks in advance, the level design/graphics are excellent in the game, the game play is typical FPS. Using quite a few screenshots as triplewide wallpaper.

This game is based on the newest UnrealEngine... which kinda sucks when it comes to Surround Gaming. :cry:

See Unreal 3 in the Games List for more details, I suppose the tweaks explained there work on this one also.

Actually, hasn't it been proven it's developper lazyness to implement proper wide-screen thats the problem? some UT3 games do surround just fine.

As I mentioned, tried the enable console fov trick with no success.

I can live with the slight squishing, no big deal, but the game gets hard to play indoors with the zoomed fov (like WOW). Outdoors no problem as the enemies are far enough away, but indoors they are always in your face...yikes!

Will wait and hope for someone brighter than me to figure it out, for now will re-play Jericho and can't wait for Assasins Creed which I hear the "Reloaded" beta version worked with triplewide...woot!

Blacksite does make some kicka$$ triplewide wallpapers though...

Apart from using a third-person view mod (like for UT3), I think that's the best you'll get. :/

Like what? Roboblitz? :/

Don't remember which but know some UT3 were fine with larger fovs, don't think it was roboblitz either.

I wasn't blaming the engine anyway, just wanted to stress out that the issue is the same in UT3, so that the original poster can check this game for more info...
