awesome thanks guys, i feel like an idiot since i've been using your fix with call of duty 4 and never noticed it had the fix for bf2  either way thanks again really looking forward to firing it up now
btw, does any of you guys know how to fix an error message, md5 tool queries. i got that message today and it booted me from the server for 2 minutes after i was playing for about an hour. i couldn't join though after i got the error, it would boot me within a few seconds

So this works on ranked servers too? I always get a error saying "WARNING: Multiple Direct 3D displays...(or something like that)" then I get kicked from the server in one minute. I've tried and tried nothing seems to work with BF2 and BF2142.

Mine doesn't touch Direct3D in any way at all, so I know it's not my fix causing that message. ;)
If anything, you'll get a gamehook message or corrupted memory or something along those lines.
Yeah, it's not your program but it seems like the BF engine detects that I have three monitors through the TH2GOD device and boots me because of my hardware.

I'm sorry I don't understand your question fully but, no... I didn't bother to look on the PB website concerning the TH2GO device.

Even when I play BF2142 or BF2 in single screen. I still get kicked from the servers with "WARNING: Multiple Direct3D Detected" error.

battlefield 2 question about surround??
I have just started playing BF2 again (well the mod - Project Reality which is awesome btw).
I have never got the widescreen fixer to work on TH2Go with the correct FOV (unplayable).
Was there ever a verified solution to BF2 engine with TH2Go @ 3840x1024?
Sorry if it exists on this forum - I tried a search!
Thanks in advance!

I tried getting it working with 3 monitors but the engine just doesn't handle it. You can use 2 monitors and have it wide enough to be fine, but once you start using three, the FoV gets so awkward that objects start disappearing and the viewport actually becomes inverted.

Dopefish, based on your description, I belive what happens is that horizontal FOV becomes greater or equal to 180 degrees. This doesn't work in 3D graphics because at 180 you get near and far plane parallel with frustum sides and angles above that result in something like reversed projection.
This puts a limit to how wide your multimonitor setup can be in order to preserve the vertical FOV similar to single screen. For example, with three monitors 4:3 (total aspect ratio 4.0) and with maximum horizontal FOV of 180 degrees (actually, it has to be something like 179.9 to avoid the aforesaid problem) you can implement a perfect hor+ only for those games whose vertical FOV is less than 45 degrees.
