Hey ...
The PC version of the game is a pile of skiddy undies ... but ...

Hey hey Spidey !

In the Spider-Man 2 - System folder find the webhead.ini ...
under the heading ...

[WinDrv.WindowsClient]

change the lines ...

FullscreenViewportX=640
FullscreenViewportY=480

to ...

FullscreenViewportX=3072
FullscreenViewportY=768

OR WHATEVER RESOLUTION YOU LIKE

And in the User.ini in the same folder ... add all of this at the bottom ...

[Engine.PlayerController]
DesiredFOV=115.000000
DefaultFOV=115.000000

OR WHATEVER FOV WORKS FOR YOU

That's it ... enjoy !

Get the Demo here ...

Some Screens ... :)

Console games rarely make good PC conversions. :( Even the ones that are enjoyable enough games (Halo, perhaps Deus Ex: Invisible War) are crippled by lousy conversion. They either require massive spec systems to work decently, or just plain suck anyway because of camera or controls...

Yeah ...
I know what you are saying and I guess that is why they made a totally different ... and very crappy game for the pc.

There are a few exceptions however... GTA3 and Vice City for example were a great conversion and made even better by PC modifications.

The anoying thing about Spider-Man 2 was that they led you to beleve that the PC game was the same as the X-BOX and PS2 ... but as I say it is a totally different game.

Vice City was about the only good one, as far as I'm concerned. :) I never bought GTAIII on the PC (although I did have it on the PS2 until my cousin lost it!), 'cause one of my friends did and had a right cow of a time getting to to run decently. And he (at the time) had a much more powerful computer than me, so I didn't think there would be any point... ;)

Yeah, GTA III was actually kind of a pig on the PC. Vice City was OK, but still didn't take advantage of the increased RAM of most PCs. It still forgets the state of entities in the world if you just move a couple of blocks away. Grr! Too many people and cars appearing and disappearing everywhere.
