SimCity 4 Deluxe: Detailed Report
Windowboxed FMVs cause games to lose points. Even though the flaw affects big 4:3 resolutions as well, the point is that you are worse off viewing the FMV at, say, 1680x1050 than you are at 800x600. In any event, the game would get a C+ either way because that's the highest grade a game with a command line solution can receive.

game crashes to desktop with
I Had it running with 1024x768 (default). so i think this is just too many pixels for the game :(.
It's also on vista x64, but i think its based on the resolution anyway.

You try with 16 bit graphics?
