Resident Evil 5 Benchmark + WTHG - running at 5040X1050

Post by thales100 »

Menus and 2D scenes are messed, but at least the benchie runs perfectly at 5040x1050 - HOR+ , check some screenshots (click to enlarge).
I got around 50 FPS running the benchmark at 5040x1050 AA 4x .

4:3 = 1024x768

16:9 = 1280x720

48:10 = 5040x1050

If you try to launch it at 5040x1050 using the DX10 executable, it automatically switches to 3840x1024, and runs fine.

Some screenshots at 5040x1050 DX9 (click to enlarge):

Is it just me, or did the 2D bench overlay disappear completely in TH?

How did you get 5040x1050? I can only select up to 4320x900...

Yeah as the AR gets wider the 'HUD' gets cut off. Which doesn't bode well for the full version .....

Looks very nice though.

I edited the config.ini file at C:UsersHomeDocumentsCAPCOMRESIDENT EVIL 5 Benchmark Version (vista):

Code: Select all

[DISPLAY]

   Resolution=5040x1050
   RefreshRate=57Hz
   FullScreen=ON
   VSYNC=OFF
   AdjustAspect=ON

I like this benchmark demo thing that Capcom is doing. Even with 2 months to go before release, the game looks quite fine and runs about as well as expected. When i heard youd have a gun-toting buddy, i thought it was as stupid idea. Then the demo showed how swaped you can get..

Looks good, I cun't wait. Too bad it got pushed to September.. *shakes fist*

Ah missed this topic posted here. Looks sweet.

Had a lot of fun playing this on a friend's 360, sniper/shotgun are the best.

we have the same problem as in street fighter 4 is that it is a fake "surround"

because like in Street Fighter IV is on his character with his legs amputated including screen

Also in this bench or the 2 characters legs amputed

:cry:

Chun li ? Well, two different games, SF4 is vert- ("fake" wide), as described here - http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=159460&highlight=street#159460 -, but RE 5 is hor+ (thats "real" wide). :wink:

Its an over the shoulder 3rd person game, you arent meant to see the legs. I think if it was so badly broken one of the previous posters may have noticed already!

have anyone got triplehead working with RE5 yet? now that the PC version is out.

I have the game but I sold my Th2G already so I can't test.

ohh man.. after playing DeadSpace on triplescreen playing RE5 on a single screen feels so restricted
