Widescreen Gaming Forum

Hey guys.

Does anyone have a method for getting widescreen (preferably 1680x1050) in this awesome game that is called 1NSANE?

I too would love widesscreen support (1440x900) but I doubt the game engine will handle it, its quite an old game now :(

What is annoying is that I have a Radeon GFX card now, but I can't make it display a fullscreen image in 4:3 aspect, the image is just stretched to fit the screen. When I had a Geforce card I could set up the display for fullscreen 4:3 with black bands down either side so the aspect was correct. I can't seem to find anything to make the radeon card do the same.

I just installed old 1nsane on my new laptop. This game is a real jewel. It is a great physics driving game that costs only around $10 if you can find it and doesn't require the CD to play. The game lets you select any resolution that you can support (1280X800 works perfectly), but there is no Field of View setting.

I can hardly find any info on it online, but here is one forum thread (the only one) I found discussing this particular issue

Needless to say, they didn't find the solution. This game would rock with proper widescreen. I've looked for .ini files or anything else obvious like possible console commands, but nothing has showed itself. Can somebody please do something about this? thank you
