HELP - Monitors "out of range" at 3840x1024 at 60H

Post by waltbrown »

I have three brand new fresh out of the box YURAKU MJ9C 19" monitors. If I use them at 3072x768 @75Hz, they work fine, but if I try to set the resolution to 3840x1024 @ 60Hz, they all give the "out of range" error.

If I substitute any monitor for a spare LG I have, the LG works fine.

I've contacted MATROX and after around 2 weeks of testing, they've said they don't know why - but it must be the monitors.

I've e-mailed YURAKU on three seperate occasions, but haven't even had an acknowledgement from them!!!

I have an ASUS PNE5-E SLI MoBo with 2 GF8800 GTX's.

I've all the very latest drivers installed. (The monitors use the standard XP PnP Monitor drivers)

I'm up against a brick wall & desperate for help so please.......anybody

(There's also a subtext to this request - If you are contemplating buying anything YURAKU - DON'T!!!!)

Yes. All three monitors work quite happily as the sole 1280x1024 monitor (at 60Hz) without the TH2Go in circuit.

Can you use only one of them at 1280x1024 while still using Matrox TripleHead2Go in circuit?

I don't know if this is even an option, but can you try them at 3840x1024 @ 75Hz?

It isn't an option.

Supported Display Modes for the TH2G ...

Resolution
1920 x 480 (triple 640) @ 60Hz
2400 x 600 (triple 800) @ 60Hz
3072 x 768 (triple 1024) @ 75Hz
3840 x 1024 (triple 1280) @ 60Hz

See below for the reason for the edit ...

3072 x 768 (triple 1024) @ 5Hz

Paddy wanted to say 75Hz, but he had some problems with his keyboard...

So, could the problem be that the monitors only natively support 75Hz and are reporting out of range because they can't be run at 60Hz?

Edit: Nevermind. Apparently, reading skills are hard. I just saw post #3.

I don't think so. They work fine without the TH2Go at 1280x1024 @ 60Hz.

I have same problem since I have a 8800GTS. Before that it worked well....

I found on another forum that the pb can happen when you install graphic drivers after matrox drivers.
In my case, I chnaged my GC without desinstallation of the matrox drivers.

I'll try the solution this evening.

I have just upgraded my drivers by simply installing the new nvidia driver set (163.71), and it still works without a problem

So this is basically also installing GC driver after matrox drivers ... I don't see why that would cause a problem
