Silent Hill 2

As expected with an older game like this there is no widescreen support. Also I tried forcing windowed mode with 3Danalyzer and it was a WIDE SCREEN WINDOW. Does anyone know how to get this game into widescreen or at least a 4:3 window.

Had you tried a competent search, you would've found the solution.

Happy hunting.

From http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9014

mikeh: You mean bin 2 hex?

- Open the windows calculator
- Enter the decimal value of 1440 ( we'll use 1440x900 )
- Hit the Hex button and it should say 5A0
- Add a 0 in front of it so it says 05 A0 and switch the two values
- You'll end up with A0 05

That's the value you need for 1440. Now let's check the value 900:

- Enter 900 as decimal
- Hit the hex radio button and it should say 384
- Add a 0 in front of it so it says 0384
- Switch the two values 8403

So when you'll use the resolution of 1440x900 you will have to enter the value A0 05 00 00 84 03
