I would be very surprised if the new cards did support it ...

Their current cards are capable of it ... just they won't allow them to do it ...
So my feeling is why would they suddenly allow it for the new cards ?
Complete with nvidia and get a better market footing....?

Maybe they are setting up new res. conditions with upcoming DX10 / vista only drivers.
