Rainbow Six Vegas Widescreen HUD Partial Fix

I just got this Rainbow Six Vegas for christmas but the lack of a widescreen HUD was annoying me so I did some searching around through the game files and found at least most of a solution.

Simply go to folder:

Ã¢â‚¬Å“C:Program FilesUbisoftTom Clancy's Rainbow Six VegasKellerGameContentMenusPCÃ¢â‚¬Â

Nice find ... for those using the pad ...
I have been looking at the textures for the HUD ... without much sucess ... this gives me something else to look at.

Just out of curiosity, does the multiplayer chat / death message text look any different? It would be nice if using the widescreen Xbox HUD it might be smaller, or moved to the sides... because normally it's very distracting.

I just tried using the Xbox widescreen files, and it didn't work... at all. I was using v1.02 (Released before this thread was made, i assume it works with this version) and let me show you guys a screenshot:

As you can see, it shows a sword as the silencer, and all other HUD elements, such as the NO AMMO message appear at all times... and apparently I can detonate my 99 tear-gas cannisters! :P

Has anyone else experienced that strange phenomenon?

The must be illiterate they cant spell WSGF right WSG :P

Well why would ward1e post it if we can't use it? Maybe he tested it on an earlier version of the game which wouldn't make sense, because the most recent patch was released well before he posted about it.
