In this adventure you control a group of teenage mercenaries and their friends. Plow your way through the nonsensical plot and save the world. This console RPG uses a relatively unique combat system compared to other Final Fantasy games. Summonable entities called Guardian Forces are junctioned to characters to provide additional abilities and stat boosts. The Triple Triad card game is one of the best minigames you will find in the Final Fantasy series.

The launcher also fixes the "black box" texture problem with NVIDIA cards FYI.

Are any of the flaws consequential? Do any affect gameplay and/or hide information from the player? Or do they just look bad?

Grade is D, hack solution and stretch/pillarboxing are damaging flaws.

Not sure what you are referring to. This?

Textures on 3D objects that are mapped on four entirely flat (same z-coord) vertices flicker

I misunderstood.

No problems like that. Just some cosmetic flaws.

Hey,I got a question concerning the launcher, maybe you you can help me.I got the Game running under XP using the ff8_launcher with the following specs:

Athlon XP 2600+
Geforce 7600 GT
1 GB RAM

Works fine and all,but what's really annoying is that all the text in the game is not "smooth" like it is in the screenshots you 've posted above, but it's quite "pixely" like it isn't filtered or not in a correct way.Do you know a possibility how to adress this problem or,better, how to solve it?

edit:Solved,i finally found the "enable high-res fonts" checkbox ^^.
