regarding duel or triple sourround and projectors....I do have a question I have been trying to find the answer to.

One of the things I would like to do regarding widescreen games is to play non-widescreen older games (that do not support a resolution other then 3:4 in a fake (stretch) widescreen on my projector.

While this can be done by converting VGA to S-video and setting the projector to 16 X 9 it is not as sharp as in that it is now a NTSC signal. What I would like to do is stretch 3:4 to 16:9 or 16:10 or maybe try some of the ultra wide stuff using triplehead2go and others

I know you can stretch the aspect with a penalty of fattiness or blur, but I want the big immersive expierience. Does anybody know of a tool that will make you screen do this via software?

I assume the standard answer to this is find a card with drivers for custom sizes "the scaling feature" I think?

I know I know as some have said I understand that I will have a res. penalty for this large screen experience but want to go big on a few classics like wing commander and heavygear 2

To reliterate, this would be for older games that do not have a hack or support wide native.

:D Well this setup will soon be done very shortly and I will try to setup some home video of myself using it. Question is im going to have 2 Nec projectors but differant models and one epson projector. They are pretty much around the same brightness and two native res is 1024, but my one that I use for TV is 800. That one might strech to 1024, im sure it can but will have less of a sharp image. Ok to my question!! Is the triple2go fusy when it comes to differant monitors or is it more of a resolution thing? IF and when connecting it to the projectors with the same Res then I shouldn't have any probs correct? If the hertz are not the same does that matter, im pretty much going to do this anyways but I wanted to hear some feed back on this anyhow. Im setting a date as to maybe in the next two weeks this project should be set, the two projectors should be at my door step by this week and I have to buy the triple2go..

Well this is my project and I will keep posting when complete....
till then..

Different projectors won't affect the operation of the TripleHead2Go, although the image quality may suffer.

All 3 projectors need to use the same resolution.

Ok, alittle update on this project. Still waiting for one last projector, should be at my door this coming Monday. I just received my 2 triplhead2go. Bought one cheap like under $200 and then bought one new for $249. Don't ask why. I've ordered 3 screens 50x72 which will give me 90 diagonal, set for the 4:3 ratio. They were cheap so i got them that size but im sure I'll have to trim alittle.

Before they get here im thinking of a way to make the screens portable and easy to fold. One thing I've never done was make a video so If someone can tell me how I can make a video of me playing then that would help alot and how would I upload it....

tnx fellas
