I've noticed for the newer games like Tiger Woods 07 and such you just modify a file with a HEX editor and the game looks great after that why hasn't anyone done for for BF2? Is that possible?

First of all, with Tiger Woods 07, you just need to modify the resolution, and the rest takes care of itself. In BF2, you need to modify the FOV, and trying to figure out how to modify the FOV when its embedded in an executable is far more complicated and difficult than figuring out how to modify the resolution.

Secondly, hex editing is not magical. If there isn't a number representing what you want to change embedded in the executable, hex editing will not do anything for you. Changing the resolution of Starcraft, for example, is probably impossible because everything in the game is programmed to manipulate a 640x480 screen.

Third, Punkbuster will kick you if it finds that you tampered with your executable or other binaries. As a matter of fact, there *is* an FOV hack for BF2, but you can't use it online.
