Im safe as i have a 1800XTPE but i can imagine quite a few ppl will be very pissed about the SM3.0 only requirements
Although the quote "at Time of Release" might be a light at the end of the tunnel as ATI took steps to get SM2.0 in the SCCT but i took a few months for a patch to arrive,Then again if SCDA contains Starforce they can forget getting a penny of my cash....
hope this helps

The only thing that would worry me is your vid card. Besides that, your system will run anything (at max settings) that comes out for the next 6 months... After that, well you know, this industry being what it is, we'll both be out of date (might even be before that  )

8GB of hardware space!!!!! You got to be kidding me! This game takes up that much space? That's gotta be a record.
Remember the days when a PC game would take up less than 500mb of space? lol
IM definitely getting this game, i love the Splinter Cell series

Last time i checked, Ubisoft have stopped using[edit: typed 'suing' instead of using LOL, quite fitting typo] Starforce for all their new games. So I;m about 99% sure that Double Agent will NOT be StarForce protected.
And 8gigs aint too bad, it's gonna start being the norm. But if you think how cheap 250gb drives are now compared to a year ago, space isn't really an issue anymore ;)

I remember when the original Doom shareware took TWO FLOPPIES, and the full game was on THREE!
with vista on the horizon, i think it would be suicide for any game developer to use SF...

And yet now games are chewing 8GB up without a great deal of difficulty. ;)
And we're downloading daily more than enough to fill old HDDs twenty times over... 8)

Double Agent will support Intel's quad core. At least according to Intel.
