Request: Just Cause Demo
Hello, I'm new to the forums and was just wondering if anybody's has found a widescreen fix for the Just Cause demo that recently came out. I keep trying to make it 1680x1050(my monitors max res) but its not working. Hopefully the FOV can also be changed. Thanks in advance.

Nope, I can't find out any way to get it to work. I tried changing the res in the config file, adding the res as an option in the config file (in the upper portion), and making it a read-only file. No luck. Try ArtMoney I guess, but that is a huge pain and doesn't change FOV or anything.

Yeah, i couldnt believe when i saw that this game doesnt support widescreen and high resolutions. Does anybody know if the retail will support that since my monitor has a native res. of 2560x1600 and the game doesnt look good because of the scaling.

The demo seemed nice but without Widescreen support i´m not going to buy it.
Maybe someone can finda a way to enable it on the demo.

It's hard to understand how games created for a 720p platform (Xbox360) don't have 720p selectable in the menu. Not the first time it's happened. Lamentable.

Crash To Desktop
Enjoy the demo. Everytime I try to load it up it crashes to desktop.
The game loads for about a second, I see the initial screen then it goes right back to desktop. No error messages. The crash is repeatable. I've tried reinstalling video drivers, reinstalling directx 9.0c, uninstalling and reinstalling the demo, defrag harddrive, scandisk, virtual memory is enabled, rebooting, latest drivers are installed. Also tried setting the video details at the complete lower value and at their highest value. Firewall and VirusScan are disabled. I've run it on a windows clean boot and I get same results every time. I think a patch will be needed unless someone finds a software or driver conflict.

I reckon it's the X-Fi.
