here i go i think that square should listen , cause i have not played any good games lately , and i think that 2006 has been kinda low for pc gaming so...

I would go with no, I don't particularly enjoy Final Fantasy games. But of course I didn't actually vote because the options are just SLIGHTLY biased.

he he yeah i know its just that maybe there are other people here that would like to play some consoling without actually buying an xbox 360 and enjoying heir pc and ws monitor , i woul d like to see resident evil 4 on pc and final fantasi XII as much as i would love to see DEUS EX 3 or CRYSIS , its just that i have not liked any new games lately , or perhaps somethings wrong

I ain't gonna happen anyways. Square/Enix will release multiplayer games for PC, but nothing else. I've given up on them releasing any more single player Final Fantasy games for PC.

I'd love to see FFX while they're at it :) That game still holds some of the better graphics on the PS2.

FFX has the best graphics but in my opinion its the worst FF game when it comes to game play, storyline and character development.
I tried very hard to finish FFX but I just couldnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t do it. Walking on a small path from one scripted event to another scripted event with zero freedom is just too damn boring and predictable. Story line might be just personal but it never could interest me very much either, in a lot of situations you already knew what was going to happen before it actually did happen. Overall FFX is a very big disappointment for me.
I would choose FF III or IV any day over FFX, those two games doesnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t have amazing graphics but the game play is rock solid.

graphics dont make a game a good game, gameplay does and this is even more true when it comes to RPG's imho

You obviously haven't played FF X-2. That was the worst excuse for a FF game ever. FFX, in comparison, was utterly superlative. I'm not saying it was compared to all the others, just to X-2. ;)

I'd take FFVI or FFVIII over any of the others, but FFX has competition from Shadow Hearts: Covenant on the PS2. I actually prefer SH:C to FFX, but that's mostly because Tidus was a complete tosspot, while Yuri was actually... y'know, cool. :lol: Plus, you've got to respect a guy who can turn into demons. 8)

I've ordered Shin Megami Tenshi, so I'll see how good that is when it arrives. XenoSaga II was pretty good, but was hard work to get into for me...

i know everything about FF X-2 and thats also why i didnt even bother playing that game ;)
compared with X-2 FFX is great, compared with FFIII or FFVI FFX is a big disappointment.

Yeah, I dunno... they're aimed at different generations. FFVI was the culmination of a lot of effort and experience on the SNES, while FFX was the first outing on the PS2. It would have helped if they'd have made the main character a little less annoying... still Final Fantasy X International is well worth it for the Dark Aeons and Penance. :D

I quite enjoyed FFX, i didnt play XI mostly because i avoid MMORPG's.

Im a bit put off with XII coming out on PS2 because its going to look so outdated already, if they released a PC version id grab it in a instant.

As far as X-2.... i played it for about 15 mins.... and couldnt take it any longer, it was just like a charlies angels game ;).

played FFXI for more then 2 years.
It's a very nice game but with a lot of things you notice it is a JP game.
After the first couple levels everything is completely team based. Without a good party you can't do anything. And due the game mechanics one good player cant make a party but one bad player can break it.
That often leads to bad situations because most western player have the my personal goal is more important than the well being of the party. Unlike with WoW that attitude just doesnt work with FFXI.
Combat system is ok, basicly it is still turnbased but then with a little different "touch" to make it more compatible with the MMORPG type game.

This is even more true when it comes to RPG's. The best RPG's i played so far where all games with avarage graphics at best.
FF games are all games with just avarage graphics but some of those FF games are the best RPG's i ever played.

I would never judge a game by its graphics. Most of my favorite games are from the Amiga period, and most of my favorite PC games are from the Late 90's (FFVII being one of those). But its a shame that with the PS2 on its last legs, that FFXII is being released on it, instead of holding back for the PS3 (which probably would have concinved me to get one...) and PC.

I'm actually glad FFXII is being released on the PS2. It means I don't have (have being variable) to spend hundreds of pounds on a console that I'm honestly dubious about getting.

When it gets cheaper, sure. But while it's that price? Nuh-uh. ;)

But I agree. It would have made a lot of FF fans buy a PS3. As it is, currently it's only MGS4 that tempts me. And that I can probably live without, considering that MGS2 and 3 didn't really thrill me all that much.

Too bad the majority of the people that buy it for Blueray will be getting the same results as the people who bought a PS2 for a DVD player :P. It'll be a cheap drive with a cheap laser and will result in DRE's.

I'm still on the fence for the Wii. If when I try it and the controller blows me away, done deal. If not, Nintendo gets none of my money this round :P.

I never had a problem with my PS2 and reading discs. Not once.

The story changes, however, when the PStwo enters. That has DRE's all the time. :evil:

Ive not had any real problems, but ive noticed that on really scratched discs (rental DVD's....) the PS2 or XBOX couldnt cope, however my PC played them no problem :).

Ah, well, I rarely rent anything.

If I'm loathe to seperate with the cash for it new, I wait until it's cheaper. By that time, it's either Ã‚Â£5 in Sainsbury's (in the case of CDs/DVDs), Ã‚Â£10-20 (in the case of games) or I've lost interest. ;)
