Need Help, Empire Earth 2 "Art Of Supremecy"!

Need help getting the new Empire Earth 2 expansion "art of supremecy" to run in widescreen.

Empire Earth 2 is capable of widescreen using the Universal Widescreen Patcher method described here: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/5689

But this method doesn't work for the new expansion. There's no way to do it from the games config files that works. Have tried a d3d resolution forcer and no luck. Tried some basic hex editing but no luck (i don't know jack about hex editing so that may be why it didn't work..).

Am completely stumped now, need some help. Since it is possible for Empire Earth 2 i figure it must be possible for the expansion, i just need someone to figure it out and maybe update the uniws patches.ini to include this game?

Use uniws, change in patches.ini ee2.exe to ee2x.exe, as the file is sort of the same, the uniws patch for ee2.exe works for ee2x.exe (expansion)
