So, my dad just got me an iMac (outta the blue, no warning, but I'm not complaining since my old PC is a P.O.S.), widescreen (native resolution 1440x900), and I installed bootcamp on it, then Windows XP, so I could play my Windows games. Most games are working fine on it, but Deus Ex won't work.
I keep trying to edit the .ini files, but I'm not entirely sure I know what I'm doing, because when I change the FullscreenViewport lines, FullscreenViewport Y ends up being inexplicably changed by the game from 900 to 768. I set the FOV to 85, but that doesn't seem to change anything at all. The game still only displays everything (in a stretched out fashion, of course) if I put it in a 4:3 resolution.
Weirdest of all is the fact that it's offering me bizzare 10:16 resolutions. In fact, I can set it to 900x1440. I have no idea why it's doing this. My only guess would be that the game doesn't like running on an Apple machine, even if said machine is currently running Windows.
Ideas? I think my head will start hurting if I continue wading through post after post on this forum and others, hoping one will help. I've been at it for hours already.
