Money for NHL 2006 widescreen!?

Post by hardcoreA100 »

The people who are good at making games work in widescreen obviously don't play nhl 2006, therefore I hope nobody is offended or I hope this is not against forum policy to offer some cash towards somebody who is able to hack nhl 2006 to work in widescreen mode.

50 bucks? I dunno, how much is it worth for your time? Just want to play some descent hockey on my htpc and well, nhl 2006 is the only game besides earlier versions and ea obviously doesn't give a flying fart.

I'm good for 50 bucks, maybe others that are interested could anti up some dough as well to make it worth someone's time. Maybe it isn't possible, I don't know.

Definite proof is required before I'll paypal the money.

Like I said, if this is wrong, let me know.

I don't think it's wrong at all. If no one has done it yet, Offering some cash to buy the game to hack it, or if they already have it 50 bucks for thier time seems fair. If I had NHL 06 I'd chip in too!
I still visit occasionally.

Now don't kill me if this doesn't do the trick, but I think maybe some of the variables used in this program set the FOV:

I think you need to extract/import something to one of the VIV files... if you don't know how to do that you can probably sign up and ask on that thread for the tools and instructions.

The reason why I think it might do the trick is it has "Border" variables which I think might modify the aspect ratio... but again, I don't know for sure.
