For some reason when i loaded the game, it's in widescreen automatically. I didn't do anything. I tried to get the solution at Guru3d, but the link is gone. And i have to d/l the RAR program to get squizzy (spelling)...however, how is it in widescreen without me doing anything? And, by the way, this is everygame i play.

Can it be that the resolution is just stretched to full screen? It's not like with CRT's that when you select a smaller resolution that you get a small image in the center of the screen.

And btw, that solution at Guru3d is WSGF's solution, they just stole it from us.

It's no problem if it stretches, it's just ugly.

And I forgot that squizzy is redoing his site so I guess he took his patchers offline. I guess you have to wait some time for him to put it up again.

Edit: I found his patch, it's on another page: http://www.squ1zzy.nl/Patches/Rainbow_Six_Vegas.htm
You still can't download it though :(

you can use the originally made .bin file replacements which you can find in [this thread]

Work fine.

Paddy's second post also has a link to Squizzy's res patcher hosted locally at WSGF

I havent used the patch, but are you running it from the same directory as the game?

From the "Solution" post ...

Instructions in the readme ...

Place the patcher in the folowing folder:
C:Documents and Settings%username%My DocumentsUbisoftR6Vegas
Open the patcher and select the resolution you want and press the 'patch' button.
It will make a copy of the original file before applying the patch.

Far enough off for it not to work ... :P  ... the point is ...
The answer was there ... where "Solutions" usually are ... in the section marked ... "Widescreen Confirmed Solutions - PC"
After someone goes to the trouble of linking to it ... it just needed to be read ...

Yes,...put the patch in ubisoft/rainbow six vegas...when I double click the penguin, and put the res @ 1900x1200, and hit the "patch" button, it says....."file not found"

Are you sure youve got it in the Documents and Settings folder, and not in Program Files?
