Does anyone here has a good solution/compromise for running BG2 in 1920*1200 ? I know that it doesnt support widescreen directly, but is able to run as high as 1600*1200 which could seem quite ok with black bars on the side. Only problem is that this game seems to insist on stretching the image nomatter what.
Im using a ATI X800 gfxcard and in the catalyst menu ive enabled "use centered timings" in the image scaling menu but to no avail. Is there some other way i can force the black bars on 4:3 aspects ?

I've not had any luck finding a location in the .exe or any other file that controls the res. :(

Yeah i can live with that, but is there not a way to force the black bars and play it in 4:3 ?

Ok i found the solution :)

All i had to do was to enter the screen menu and change "fill" into "aspect" under display settings (im using a DELL 24"). But the trick was that i couldnt enter the menu until i was actually in the game and the image was stretching.
on the desktop in the native res i couldnt enter those menu items..
